BIOGRAPHY

Orpheus Acosta (b. 1990, Bronx, New York) is a photographer that focuses on the unseen and identity. He was raised in Ossining, NY and now resides in Bath, NY. He was adopted at two months old and raised by a Puerto Rican family. Throughout his life, he had a feeling of displacement and conveys it through his work. At 16, his curiosity lead him to find out about his adoption, as well as being half Black and half Irish. He began documenting his environments through photography and video.
